Clinical Supervisor

Karen has worked in the areas of Applied Behavior Analysis, autism spectrum disorder, developmental disabilities, drug and alcohol, mental health, and behavior problems. Her experience as a clinician includes direct work with individuals in need of ABA; direct work with adults experiencing drug and alcohol concerns; direct work with adults diagnosed with mental health concerns in supervised settings; consultation to support programs for persons with autism and other developmental disabilities in both private and public schools. Karen also teaches undergraduate students at a local university to expand their knowledge base in the field of psychology.

Most recently, Karen has been assisting in providing clinical direction of the Northeast branch and has worked in collaboration with the chief clinical officer. Karen is interested in the impact of health on autism spectrum disorders in regards to the exhibition of challenging behaviors as well as the effects of attachment theory on challenging behaviors and the response to interventions based upon applied behavior analysis. Karen received her B.A. degree in Psychology from Wilkes University, an M.A. in Psychology from Marywood University, and Certificates of Advanced Graduate Studies in Counseling (Marywood University) and in Applied Behavior Analysis (University of Scranton) and her Ph. D. in Psychology with a specialization in Health Psychology from Walden University. As the Clinical Supervisor, Karen leads the Northeast clinical division in assisting with interpreting regulations, creating policy, developing procedures and trainings to meet those regulations, educating and mentoring clinical staff in ABA therapy and setting the highest standards for compliance, quality and safety within the environments in which our agency service.
